The Cricket League of Iowa was originally formed in 2003, but took shape in 2004 with 7 teams. The 2010 edition of the CLIA will see a record 9 teams vie for the championship. In 2010, the league had its name changed to Heartland Cricket League.

2. Cedar Rapids Kings XI - Cedar Rapids, IA
3. Elite Cricket Club - Des Moines, IA
4. Iowa Bulls - Des Moines, IA
5. Iowa Hawkeyes - Iowa City, IA
6. Iowa State University - Ames, IA
7. Knights Cricket Club - Des Moines, IA
8. Nebraska Cricket Club - Omaha, NE
9. NEB - Omaha, NE

The league will have access to six fields:

1. West Des Moines, IA: Holiday Park Oval - Home of the Knights Cricket Club, Elite CC and Iowa Bulls.

2. Cedar Rapids, IA: Seminole Valley Park - Home of the Cedar Rapids All Stars, Cedar Rapids Kings XI.

3. Ames, IA: Iowa State University - Home of the Iowa State Cricket Club

4. Omaha, NE: N.P.Dodge Park - Home of the NEB.

5. Omaha, NE: Freedom Park - Home of the Nebraska Cricket Club.

6. Iowa City, IA: University Cricket/Rugby Field - Home of the Iowa Hawkeyes.


The HCL will have Board Officials elected every year.  This year, the Presidency is held by Sashank Ganti of Elite Cricket Club, CS Manish of Nebraska Cricket club will serve as the Secretary, Vinod Patel of Iowa bulls will be the treasurer & Siva Sattanathan of CR Kings XI will serve as the Web Administrator. 

The HCL motto is "Let's Make a Difference."  This not only applies to the way cricket will be played, but also, to our respective local communities, where we intend to actively participate by way of free coaching clinics and charity events.

All in all, this league has been the product of a labor of love, and passion for the sport of cricket.  We will continue to set a standard in everything we do.
