Raj is living in Omaha since 1994.
Raj comes from a great cricketing family. Raj dad played for South Zone in 1940-50’s and played with all time great cricketers like Poly Umrigar/A.G Ram Singh, Vijay Merchant and many others. Raj elder brother played for Tamilnadu Ranji Trophy in 1960-70’s along with S.Venkatraghavan and V.V Kumar.
Raj in his younger days was a left arm leg spinner (Chinaman) and played for Tamil Nadu State schools in 1970’s and also played for University. Raj had the opportunity to play with several leading cricketers in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka during his younger days.
Raj had the honor of playing with K.Srikkanth and opening the batting with him on several occasions when he was employed with TVS groups of companies in 1980’s.
For Raj, cricket is part of life and his passion for the game is limitless. Raj is the oldest playing cricketer in Omaha and has been playing since 1994. Raj in spite of his age (50 plus), has the same love and enthusiasm that he had during his yesteryears and continues to play every season
Raj ambition is to keep playing cricket in Omaha for another decade. Raj is a Left Handed Batsman.
