30 Aug 2010 : 08/28;ISU beat Iowa Bulls by 7 wickets:209/9 off 25 overs 210/3 off 17 overs MOM:Vaibhav Vartak

ISU won the toss and put Iowa Bulls into bat on a perfect day for cricket. The outfied was lightning quick and devoid of any grass. Saket and Naveed got Iowa Bulls off to a flyer going at over 8 runs an over in the power play. Anwar managed to pull things back by getting Saket caught by Adnan. However Utpal continued where Saket had left off and in company of Manish kept the scoreboard ticking at a fast clip bringing up his fifty in fine style. Iowa Bulls could not capitalize on the start with Adnan getting wickets at regular intervals and ended up with 209 off 25 overs. ISU started strongly with Vaibhav providing the early momentum and in company of Adnan launched a counter attack against the Iowa Bulls bowling attack. In company of Adnan they peppered the boundaries at will and were not afraid to go the top. Iowa Bulls managed to get Adnan caught at square but that did not stop Vaibhav who in company of Saurabh overhauled the Iowa Bulls total with ease. Vaibhav was adjudged the man of the match for his brilliant hundred. One of the better innings I have seen in my playing time in Iowa.




30 Aug 2010 : 08/29: NEB beats CRK by 5 wickets; CRK 140 for 5 in 20 overs; NCC: 141 for 5 in 18.2 Overs; MOM: Pradeesh

NEB and CR Kings arrived in Des Moines at 9:30 am only to discover that both teams did not have the cones and stumps. There was a delay of 1 and half hours to arrange for the cones/stumps and the match finally started at 11:15 AM. Overs were reduced to 20 overs each due to the delayed start.


NEB won the toss and elected to field. Siva and Parvath started very well for CRK scoring 26 and 25 resp.All CRK batsman put decent scores and CRK finished with 140/5 at the end of 20 overs.


CRK started well again in bowling too grabbing 4 wickets out of NEB in no time. Sam and Pradeesh steadied the chase and brought NEB closer to victory. Sam got out after a fine 30 from 15 balls. Shanmuga joined Pradeesh and made sure no more wickets fell and NEB won the match in 18.2 overs. Pradeesh was unbeaten on 35 from 38 balls.


MOM Pradeesh for his allround performance.



Umpiring was very good overall.
